Children and Families

Children's Chapel - Sunday 9 am service

Sacred Stories - Sunday 10:30 am

We believe that the worship and life of the church is for all of us, regardless of age. We encourage families to worship together. We welcome the wiggles and sounds that come with childhood. We welcome all children into our main services. During the sermon of the 9 am service only we offer Children's Chapel, where children 12 and under can have focused time of teaching. We also have Sacred Stories, a time of biblical instruction in between services on Sunday mornings at 10:30.

A Family Care Center, with toys, a small bathroom, and a changing table, is available for parents and small children. This room also has a speaker with audio from the service so you can listen while you care for your children. The Family Care Center is located near the entrance to the church, right next to the ladies’ restroom.

What Should I Wear?

Most people at St. Andrew's wear dressy casual clothes for Sunday worship, but you will find some in jeans or shorts and others more dressed up. Please wear something that makes you feel comfortable. God is far more interested in our hearts than our wardrobe.

The Liturgy

As Anglicans, we follow a liturgy for worship. The liturgy is a corporate way of praying and praising together. You can expect to participate in prayers and singing songs. You will hear multiple passages of the Bible read out loud followed by a sermon.

The pinnacle of our worship is the celebration of Holy Communion. All Christians who have repented of their sins and have been baptized in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are welcome to receive communion with us at St. Andrew's. If you would like to receive, please come forward to the altar rail when directed by the ushers. If for any reason you are not receiving communion, you are welcome to come forward for a blessing. You can cross your arms over your chest to let us know if that's you!
